Proper traditional cafe. Went for breakfast which was excellent and great value. Egg yolk was a stunning dark orange. Had a veggie and a 'puzzle' breakfast with fabulous coffee. First visit and definitely not our last. Will be one of our new go-to spots! Service was excellent and a very friendly, welcome atmosphere

Where do I start! I believe the man who spoke to me for my order was called Chris,very polite friendly and a good sense of humour. I very much appreciated feeling comfortable and humbled by the service provided (especially coming from Bristol to work in Welshpool this week). Anyhow,the breakfast was beautiful and the tea was lovely (and the price that came with it staggered me quite abit. You're talking least double the price for a breakfast and tea down in Bristol,and it's certainly not as good quality!). I appreciated as well that all the food is either from Welshpool or farms around the area,again you're talking double for that quality in Bristol.

Absolutely loved this little gem. We had a breakfast which I have to say is one of the best I've had in a long time. Kids mini lunch deals were really good value and anything they wanted on a sandwich they could have. Very nice staff who provided an excellent service in a friendly environment. Should we pass through welshpool again , we will definatly drop back in.

We ordered the big breakfast and what a breakfast it was,everything cooked nice and fresh, lovely and hot, tea and coffee nice and hot, none of that almost warm stuff. Will be dropping in next time we are in the area.

One of the best breakfasts you can get.. standard never changes through out the year.. Happy staff always has time to chat whilst working.. and nothing is to much trouble..and it's dog friendly.. They also have a very good menu.

An excellent welcome, a massive mug of tea and a superb home cooked meal of quiche, new potatoes, salad and coleslaw. Superb value.

My rating is not because it's a 5 star hotel it's because of the very warm and friendly atmosphere in a casual and homely environment with a menu to suit all tastes. My first visit didn't disappoint with extended breakfasts and at least three types to choose from. I chose a small one and that wasn't small. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!
